Horse Boarding Services at the Epona Center
Pasture Board • $350 per month
Includes 3 hay feedings per day (Alfalfa and/or Bermuda included; Timothy hay provided for $60 extra per month). Supplements provided by owner will be fed daily. Large pastures dragged minimum four times per week. Owner use of designated outdoor arenas and round pens. (Use of covered, lighted arena and indoor grooming facilities for additional $50 per month. Blanketing for $1 per day. Fly masks provided by owner will be kept on horse during fly season.)
Stall Board • $475 per month
Includes hay and supplement feedings as described above. Daily turn out and stall cleaning. Owner use of covered, lighted arena, designated outdoor arenas and round pens, indoor grooming facilities included.
Retirement Care • $425 per month
Pasture board as described above with stall care during cold weather spells. Supplements, hoof trimming, fly masks and blanketing services included. Digital picture of horse sent every month with bill. Owner use of covered and outdoor arenas and grooming facilities during visits.
Lay Up Care • $30 per day
For injured horses: private stall or corral, wrapping, cold water hosing or heat therapy, medication administration (medicine provided by owner), hay as described above and supplements provided by owner fed daily.
Foaling Care • $250 per week
Services for mares ready to foal. Includes features associated with Retirement Care, with additional option of foaling stall or individual outdoor corral with shade. Includes 24-hour observation.
Stallion Board • $450 per month
Includes services associated with pasture board above with addition of stallion housed in individual corral with shade (stall board with turnout option as described above for $450). All stallions housed at the Epona Center must be enrolled in a minimum of one month full training. Visit our Stallion Program page for more details.
Horse Training and Rehab Services
Full Training • $750 per month
20 training sessions per month with trainer of choice or combination of trainers (board not included; choose from options above).
Half Training • $375 per month
10 sessions per month
Training ptions include English (hunt seat, dressage, over fences), Western (Western pleasure, trail), Horse Gentling/Starting Under Saddle (90 day minimum), Ground Work (various standard and innovative styles), Trick Training (bow, kneel, lie down, sit, rearing on command), Driving (90 day minimum), Stallion Socialization and Manners, Rehabilitative Ground Work and Riding for injured horses and abused or “problem” horses
Riding/Training Lessons
Individual Sessions • $100 per hour
Semi-Private • $80 per person per hour (2 person limit)
Instruction in training/riding/rehab styles as described above with or without your own horse.
